Hi there....firstly, if you are the one recently diagnosed, and are about to seek help, congrats! That's a huge first step. During a first session, you and the therapist will get to know each other. You'll fill her in on what's going on for you, and she'll give you her treatment recommendations. She will likely want you to be medically followed and to see a nutritionist. Additional services, like group therapy, psychiatry, or a higher level care may be recommended depending on the severity of the anorexia.

The most important thing you'll want to think about during this first session is how you feel with this therapist. Are you comfortable? Can you talk with her? Does she feel trustworthy? If the answer is no, you may want to schedule a consultation with another ED specialist to see if it's a better match.

its boring. mine talked in a soft, annoying voice. and made me hate her with her cheap compliments and non-helpful advice
