It should read "if God will still be able"

I know Jesus was buried, But he wasn't embalmed in order to preserve his body. Why do we embalm people if we believe God can resurrect us from the dust from which we came?

According to some scientist we have a renewed body every 7 years. If that is totally true, it means that all your atoms have been replaced. If we were perfect, this of course would explain how God programs eternal youth into us. Since Adam and Eve lost that, we have a different program now.

So, Jesus said; "For I say to you that God has power to raise up children to Abraham from these stones." Luke 3:7b.

So, also consider Jesus. First he was a spirit person. Then God put his life into Mary, as a human body, then he was raised an immortal spirit person. Here we can see that God can give a person any body he wants to, while keeping the same person.

But, for the sake of stability, if we look at Lazarus, Jesus raised him with the exact copy of the body he had. Also, the other resurrections in the Bible, the people have the same body as when they died.

God can use the elements here on the earth to make a body, or produce new ones, nothing is impossible for HIM. Matthew 19:26.

If a person dies in the wilderness and gets decomposed, and some of his elements become part of a plant, God s
does not need to tear down that plant to resurrect., that person.

Therefore, cremation is irrelevant.

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them: "Truly I say to you, In the *re-creation,* when the Son of man sits down upon his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also your selves sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of ISRAEL."

We can comfort these who know they are dying soon with the resurrection.

John 5:28,29 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,...

About Glen, who had two weeks to pass, someone went to encourage him, and instead he got encouraged as Glen spoke of 'how the grapes were going to be,'..in Paradise.

As Jesus said, 'Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.' Luke 23:43.

When Jesus died, miracles happened, the curtain of the sanctuary was rent in two, from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rock-masses split. And the memorial tombs were opened and many bodies of the HOLY ONES that had fallen asleep were raised up, ( and persons, coming out from among the memorial tombs after his being raised up), entered into the holy city, and they became visible to many people.

Hebrews 11:35 Women received their dead by resurrection, but other men were tortured because they would not accept release by some ransom, in order that they might attain a better resurrection.

I don't think there is anything in the bible to indicate the cremation is wrong. I can also understand your concerns with being buried. While the Bible does say that Christ was placed in a tomb (not buried, thank you very much.... it does not say that he was pumped full of terrible chemicals to preserve his body for unnatural lengths of time. If I could return to the circle of life, burial would be ok for me too, but you don't return naturally when you are locked up in a box and preserved.

There is a company now that buries people in a landfill, in a bio-degradable bag with no preservatives so that they can return naturally to mother earth. I don't have any information on it, but maybe this is something you'd prefer?

I tend to believe that God can do anything. So, resurrection of the cremated most likely won't be a problem. It's just my opinion, but so many people always try to sell God short.

I personally don't believe in cremation, But that is up to every indivisual. Yes God knows where every Atom of your body is at. rather in the sea, the earth, Or elsewhere, think of all those people being blown up by bombs, God know where each atom is for each person, God will not put Tom's atom on James body, God will place each & every atom & modelcure back in it's rightful place.

I used to think not, but I think I have changed my mind on this one. God can do anything - He can arrange our little pieces back together and make a new body. I choose to believe that and may consider cremation too. I hope this helps.

the way of lack of life is immaterial to the resurrection. at the same time as someone dies, all information about that human being is going to God, that's named our spirit. this information incorporates no existence in reality the completed advice necessary by making use of God to resurrect the guy back if it really is critical in Paradise. The depraved on judgment day have their files expunged and exist then no longer even in God's information banks.

My husband and I was talking of this the other day. I allowed I want to be cremated and he said though there is no scripture saying you cannot he did say something interesting. The scriptures always show that those who were saved was buried, and the heathens was burned. Then he said if we are to be Christ like then Jesus was buried. Got me to thinking as well.

Sure he could. When we are resurrected, we will have our glorified bodies and will not have any physical defect or flaw. Those that died in fires, or ate by wild animals will be put back together, so why not you. Also, all bodies rot underground anyway.

And the sea gave up their dead... .
Yes God created all. This will be a small thing for Him.The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will quicken our mortal bodies.. .
