manhattan, has time's square, famous for new years eve and the ball dropping, and dick clark getting another year older,
(i think he uses formaldehyde as a preservative or something).
nyc houses the UN, the stock exchanges. the empire state building. and broadway, THE place to go to see live performances of GREAT shows.

There is a train stop in the basement of the Waldorf Astoria hotel that was used by Franklin Delanor Roosevelt when he was president. When he had contracted polio, it was a way of getting him up to his room and out of the building without people seeing he was in a wheelchair.
The station now is no longer used.
