With very high doses of antibiotics. I got PID while pregnant with my daughter (is was almost expectant...had a lot of problems) After wards they tried literally 8 different antibiotics and finally they put this stint thing in my arm that I had to inject myself twice a day for a month. (that or go in the hospital and not see my baby) It did take care of it. I feel for you because that is THE worse 'double over' pain I have ever felt.

Good luck...and get your doctor serious about this.

You may need a sonogram to make sure that it is not the scar tissue causing the pain.

Strong antibiotic's, preferably strain specific instead of spectrum. this means that if they can take a sample and run some labs to positively identify what type of infection it is and what strain of bacteria it comes from then they can prescribe antibiotics that are specifically designed to fight that one strain. this is good because it will have strength's that broad-spectrum antibiotics do not have, but also have weaknesses that the antibiotics do not have. the labs will also conclude if the infection is bacterial at all. it could be a viral infection. in which case there are no medications or injections that really can help due to the fact that viruses are not able to be fought as of yet.

I had pelvic inflammatory disease, 2 weeks of very strong antibiotics(they made me so sick), but I got better, and 2 months later, I was pregnant.
