If you are asking the closest shopping center to to airport, it is Galeria which is located on the seashore in Atakoy which is just 10 minutes drive from the airport by taxi. On the other hand shopping centers a bit more expensive than the local market. I would recommend you to go to Galeria first just look around have an idea and then ask for Bakirkoy where you can reach by a 5 min.s walk. You will find everything %40 cheaper there. Especially women wear. Unfortunately there is not a shopping center in Yesilkoy. I live in Yesilkoy and for shoppinh prefer to go to Bakirkoy either to shopping centers Galeria and Carousel or as I have mentioned before the local stores. YeÅilköy – whose population is mainly affluent - is exactly where the Istanbul Atatürk International Airport is situated. YeÅilköy has a Marina and beautiful sandy beaches, and is some 24 kilometers from the city center.
In Istanbul, you have these popular Shopping Malls :
1. Carousel Shopping Center, Carousel Alis Veris Merkezi, Yesilkoy
2. Atrium Avm, 9-10 Mahalle, Atakoy
3. Galleria Avm, Sahil Yolu Galeria Alis Veris Merkezi, Atakoy
These malls are open every day between 10:00 and 22:00 hours.
And posh cabs are available at very moderate rates, to transport you to them.
