I was fired for not being "bubbly" enough. I was supposed to be a receptionist with no job description and no phone to answer. On the rare occasion when someone showed up, someone else would jump out of their office to greet them. I sat in the outer office by myself all day for 4 days before getting fired. Best thing that ever happened to me because then I got a real job as assistant administrative secretary and had lots to do and lots of interaction with people and everyone was impressed with me.

An african-american female got herself fired from the company, for coming to work wearing a "cornrows" hairdo. All of the co-workers were shocked when the firing occurred.

my husband was fired for sleeping on the job when he wasn't even working
another employee gave the manager of the site my husbands name after he ( the other guy ) was caught sleeping. My husband contacted the person who caught the guy asleep and verified with him that it was not my husband and they contacted the company my husband worked for but they terminated him anyway. The workforce comission found for my husband and the company that terminated him had to pay compensation.
