I'm not sure. It's something that I'll know with more experience as I get older. I remember back when I was in high school the principle said, "True love is not a myth. It's very real." I don't really know what to believe. I think sometimes people think they're truly in love and marry that person, but in reality, it's not true love and they're supposed to be with someone else. Sometimes your "true love" was someone you were with previously, but it didn't work out, even though that was your one true love- but you move on and let go either way.
My true love was a man named Vinny, over 2 years ago and I still haven't forgotten him...

Semy, You will never forget true love, I will say this once you find it and you let it go it's hard to find it again. I mean it just doesn't feel the same as the first time, but I do believe you can feel love again just not like your first love. Good Luck to you!

I still remember my fist love better than I remember anyone but I can't really remember how I felt for him so I guess either it does die or there's no such thing, just another exaggerated emotion that I felt at the time.

It's impossible to find true love. For example,if you live in New York & your true love is in california,south america,japan,etc, you will never find it or know about it because "true love" is not possible. YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE THAT TRUELY LOVES YOU BUT YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THATS THE CHOSEN ONE..

Yes you will remember it. If your question is about having strong feelings years after, I dont' think so. Can't tell you if those emotions can be retrieved though, I think under certain circumstances one possibly coul flare up again, who can tell.
