In my honest opinion I find it sickening that there are people like the 2nd and 3rd posters to this question who are so arrogant to want their host countries to become Islamic as though Muslims are the only people who matter. Unless these fools forget, they are not the only people in their host countries nor should they consider that they are the master people in these nations. If they want such an evil and tyrannical government then they should go back to whatever Islamic state they (or their ancestors) came from.

I find any theocracy (even a Christian one) to be a sick perversion of religion...and one that should never be tolerated.

But! The Evangelistic Christians in America are trying their best to get their religious beliefs and ideas into our government--------from Jesus prayers in schools and government, to abortion ideas in the legislatures, to etc., and on and on and on. Since there is no call for a formation of an "Islamic Theocracy" as you put it, in either the Quran or the Hadith I do not want one and I also say that anyone who does is not following the religion.

There was a great deal of abuse of Muslim theologians and scholars and jurists by the Caliphs because they wanted them to acknowledge their rule in a religious sense. This was resisted then and should continue to be resisted. In the US we call this separation of religion (read "church") and state.

However, this has nothing to do with "secular democracy" (can you find one?) and has all to do wih the corruption of the religion.

I doubt that any muslim will hope for God or ,Allah, to rule them Himself. Rather, they would like for a muslim kingship or ruler, so that it could be just like all the middle-eastern countries.
Many of the ones that live in good democratic countries like us, utterly fail to see how much "better" the muslim countries have it. Every single muslim ruled country is a wasteland of murderous Jihad and persecution.
