Prozac? Yes, tremendous headaches, intractable insomnia and some very attractive thoughts of su*c*de. Serious enough that had I a gun...
But then there's my sister, very happy with the stuff.
I used to call it "Devil in a Pill".

I had a friend who used to take fluoxatine (prozac) and she said no matter how hard she tried she could not have an orgasm! Now we are talking about someone who could orgasm no problem but with the prozac she just could not get there. It is a noted side affect of fluoxatine.

I suffered a lot when I tried to stop it.
Sexual dysfunction is the most common side effect of Fluoxetine.
Others include akathisia, rage, and anxiety, which is possibly associated with an interaction of fluoxetine with the pineal gland, in addition to restlessness and insomnia. Weight loss, trembling, weakness, skin rash, anorgasmia, itching, and a decrease in sexual drive, have also been reported. It has been reported to cause subsequent weight gain.
Like other SSRIs, an overdose of fluoxetine or combining it with other antidepressants can lead to serotonin syndrome.

When I took it I felt wound up and aggressive all of the time, and kept wanting to kick chairs and break stuff and shout at bus drivers and other irrational cr*p. I've known other people who felt so aggressive on it that they were worried about hurting people and had to stop taking it. Also some short spells of dizziness and feeling spaced out, and yeah, orgasms became practically impossible.
It's very different for a lot of people. I know that there are people whose lives it's saved and people whose lives it's damaged. You just need to be aware of yourself and do what works for you.

I was really pleased to see this question. I only started on mine 7 days ago, but over the 7 day period i have felt a little bit hyper. Not disimilar to the feeling of recreational drugs! wasn't sure if it was just me. I was informed by my doctor that I would not feel any effects for 4-6 weeks but I already feel different.

I know someone who took Prozac for depression then got deeper into it, so stopped taking it.
Another person who was on it actually committed suicide.
For some it works, for others not, be careful - try and stick to natural remedies like friends family and plenty of people who care about you!
