I mean every week it seems there is more and more evidence that comes to light that further serves to illustrate that evolution is (as the scientific world recognizes) an ongoing process. This is not up for debate you know, no matter how much you stamp your feet and yell "no it's not! no it's not!".
Here is another example of human evolution, a hominid of the genus "australopithicus afarensis" the same genus as the now-famous "Lucy". Only this skeleton is more complete.

Trust me, education is quitely sweeping your myths and legends aside. Reality will ALWAYS trump religion, and you know it.

Tell me, is it because you've been so thoroughly brainwashed that you cannot see the truth? Or is it because you are all intellectually incapable of recognizing it when it's presented to you?
It has to be one or the other, since you have no proof or evidence to support the existence of your magic sky-pixie. Yet science continues to present mountains of evidence for Evolution.

Southpaw,
I love the Darwin Finches! Another excellent example of adaptation (one of the first steps to evolution) and STILL the creationists couldn't or wouldn't understand.
They really are laughable morons aren't they?

Paradise,
did you just bring up "carbon dating"?
ROTFLMAO!!!!
Oh you poor, ill-educated moron. You REALLY need to do a bit MORE reading. Stopping at some crackpot website that tells you just what you want to hear is NOT research.
But that might be too complicated for someone like you to understand. You have my sympathy.

Thank you "giggles" for showing us that christians are better with threats, than in trying to understand science.
But most of us knew that already...

The1andonlymoron...
First you try and bull sh it us by saying you're not a YEC and then go on and try and explain how this girl died with a mythical "flood story".
Tell you what pus-for-brains, go peddle your crap elsewhere, no one's buying it here anymore.
Honestly, can you creationists sink any lower? Wait, don't answer that, everytime I ask that question, you show me just how much lower you can sink.
Oh and as for that laughable link about dating techniques, Puh-lease. The people who wrote that barely have a highschool diploma, never mind the advanced scientific training required to understand advanced dating technologies.
Just leave ok? Your lack of education and intelligence embarrasses me...

No, they have always had all the evidence that's needed to prove evolution. However, there seems to be a nearly infinite human capacity to rationalize away what you don't want to believe no matter what evidence there is supporting it.

I am not what I'd call a "young earth" creationist, but just some thing to note:

This is from the article:

"The skull, torso and upper and lower limbs, including the hand, show both human and ape-like features. The state of the ancient bones suggest she was buried in a flood which may also have caused her death."

Hmm...sounds like a familiar story involving a big boat and lots of water.

And some additional food for though: Dating techniques don't always work

So who's right? Does this trump your trump? The problem with your assumption is that you are saying the scientific world agrees that the fossil found is as old as the finders say it is, when they do not. The verdict is still out on this. So it is still up for debate contrary to your claim.

Wow, so much name-calling. I'm not talking about your subject matter, I'm a creationist as well as believing in evolution and greatly welcome any new science either way.

What I'm laughing at is you. It's so funny to see someone call people names like moron, putting them down with an obvious sneer on your face, then saying things like "trust me". LOL, hasn't anyone ever told you that sarcasm is not the way to win people to your side of an argument?

So my only conclusion can be that you just wanted to poke and insult people for no real good reason. And that's a good sign of a mean-tempered spirit.

Wow, guess I'll stop laughing now. Because that's not funny, that's sad.

Yahoo! always does seem to be on top of the evolution articles.

Like the Darwin Finches evolving again a couple months ago. Yahoo! was all over that

Nothing can pry open the closed mind of creationist. As a last resort they will claim that "the devil" or "God" planted fossils and fixed carbon dating in order to test their faith against "evil evolutionists" like us.

A quote a like: "Why does my spellchecker always suggest cretins whenever I type creationists?"

quite the opposite is true....I want all you intellects to take the raw parts of a simple computer put it in a box and begin shaking it .....get back to me when it becomes a computer that is useful and assembled as design. It is not a debate that the watch, car , computer, stove , refrigerator washer dyer and almost everything you use daily had a designer including your clothes...they did not happen by chance..( DNA is less likely to happen by chance) I guess you are just fearful of facts that intelligent design put this beautiful planet and solar system together with its teeming life. Sorry you cling to mens thoughts and forgo the higher power.

Actually no. I sift through the hype and try to look at what facts are presented. From the articles I've read, they have unearthed a fossil that is the size of a small/avg sized chimp (size of 3yo human), has shoulder blades similar to apes, has a bone that helps in vocalization that is like a chimp, has ear bones similar to chimps, and the hand is estimated to have hung down to near the knees and shaped to swing through trees.

When I look at all of that, I see a fossilized chimp. Nowhere in there does it even approach human. It appears to be more chimp and, using Occam's razor, would then make it a chimp.

The truth?? Jesus said "I am the Truth, the Way and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through the Son." That is real truth. God is the creator of all things.

Please - it is easier for me to believe in a Supreme God than the big bang and/or we crawled out of the sean.

I will pray for you. Blessings. I hope you find the "truth".

Frankly, I find your question to be rude. I see no problem with believing both; Creationism and Evolution. After all, for all you know, evolution could be part of God's plan. You're calling us close-minded, but you are the same. To quote you, "Trust me, education is quitely sweeping your myths and legends aside. Reality will ALWAYS trump religion, and you know it." That, my friend, is a close minded statement that gives no room for anyone else's opinions, just as you are accusing us. I'll give evolution a chance when you give God a chance, fair?

do yourself a favour and go do some real research on "lucy", you will find that some of the bones that they found was like 10 miles away from the sceleton, wow. And only 5% on the scull was found. Those people that claims "lucy" is proof of evolution are realy very very clever people, dont mess with them, they are idiots with small brains
