If we brag on Jesus when we witness to someone then Jesus will do the rest. We cant save someone so all we can do is witness on what he has done for us. Me and my husband did that one time and wasnt even witnessing to anyone. We was just making much of Jesus and this woman who was lost started questioning and wanted answers. We made much of Jesus and Jesus was softening her heart.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Those who recieved Jesus as their savior, are all witnesses to Jesus.

The word "unto" here correlates with the word "of". So now, being witnesses [of] me [me=Jesus] simply means that we are to tell everyone of Him. Exactly the way a witness is called up to testify before a jury by giving their story; we're supposed to also testify that Jesus is alive and all that good stuff.
Try some online bible references also. I'll list one as a source below. I hope this helps.

Try something a little more understandable. I like the New American Standard Bible because it is a literal translation, but still makes sense. It reads:
7He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;
8but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

Looks like you are reading the King James Version. I suggest a more modern english version, if possible. NIV states the same verse as "... you will be my witnesses...". Ultimately, we are to be witnesses FOR Jesus not TO Jesus. He is the ultimate priest and there is nothing we could do to witness TO Him.

Translation in New American Bible: But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. This translation is clearer so that we understand that we are to witness others about the good news.

Not sure... try reading the NIV (New International Version) for a more up-to-date and very good translation. It probables means witnesses for him... best to check though.
Alternatively, get a Bible with a Greek concordance so that you can look up the original Greek words and then translate them back into English. The range of nuances can sometimes be surprising!

Yes, and to the Father Jehovah.
(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none.
(Luke 24:48) You are to be witnesses of these things.
(John 15:27) and you, in turn, are to bear witness, because you have been with me from when I began.
Jehovah's Witnesses both witness personally and bear witness to others regarding God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.
(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah
(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus
(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”
(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

Yes there are a lot of part-time lovers and "I want more than just a ONE DAY WEEKEND LOVE//"
I am a true witness, but most Christians, let alone other people do not believe my testimony. Because it could not happen to someone else and not to them?? Because it does not fit in their idea of "how it should go down??" So I wait until I am filled with the Holy Spirit and speak to them again. I know it won't be long.
Anyway, Call His name, He will get you through (just don't think it ought to be easy)
Love

Very few are true witnesses.
Most go to church 1 to 2 hrs on a Sunday, and for the rest of the week, live their life the way they choose.
