1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Nah. If I believed in an antichrist, which I don't, I think the prediction is that he will be charismatic. Chavez is an idiot. He's like the entertainment at the party. Sure, everyone laughed when he said Bush was the devil, but were they laughing with him, or AT him? I don't like Bush at all, but Chavez is the most un-statesman like fool I've ever seen.

Also, where in the Bible does it say that the antichrist will insult the US president?

Oh - and as an aside to those who might agree with Chavez on this devil business - I was talking to someone from Venezuela who said that Chavez is very inhumane, so let's not encourage him just because he doesn't like Bush either.

no actually i tend to agree with him more than disagree.....He is not afraid to say that Bush is wrong and that he is the aggressor in Iraq. I am loyal to my country not to the current president if I feel that president is abusing his power. I wonder if there were Germans who tried to speak out against Hitler and were told they were not patriotic? Is there some virtue in blind faith and acceptance for the president or as citizens should we be thinking for ourselves and willing to accept the possibility that maybe the leader of our nation being a human is capable or making huge mistakes and of doing evil? I don't support the enemies of our country but I also realize that some of those enemies may be internal as well as external

Sounds like most politicians to me. Especially the 'kissing the baby' part.

Don't over analyze--we are waiting for Christ to return--besides, who is to say you won't die first. Prepare your soul--put the focus back where it needs to be. Trust God.
