Would I have made a difference? Have I made a difference? Sometimes, gazing at the tree in my yard, which is all I can see from my window, I ask myself this question. When 'It's a Wonderful Life' is on the television, I ask myself this question.
On bad days, despair wells deep and all my thought dwell on only the things I tried and failed at. Love gone sour, jobs from hell, relationships gone bad, art that looks so easy but just doesn't work,
Good days I see the tree, I think of my garden, my cat, my friends. I think of the people who come to me with problems, who go away with answers, and who are enriched, even if by only a tiny amount. I think about people, and children. Children are our hope and future. If you can help a child, the world is a better place because of you.
It is said that God looks after fools, drunks, and little children. Sometimes, he needs you there to help him
My friends would still be hanging out with each other, I was not instrumental there. I'm a 'joiner' in that regard. My parents may have gone on to have more children, and would not have missed me.
The world is a better place, because I try to make it so.

I used to wonder what the world would be like if I was not born. My mom had me when she was 18. If I was not born maybe my parents would break-up, my sisters would not exist, my boyfriend would be with someone else, and so on. I don't think that way anymore, because the fact is I am already here, I will be here until the day I die, I have life (a very precious gift) and I'm here to enjoy it.

The world would be different. I wouldn't have a son.
My friends would probably still have their same friends. There would be a lot of work that wouldn't have gotten done. There wouldn't be a couple of inventions. There would have been a lot of students that didn't get my teaching.
But I suppose there would have been someone to fill the "gap".

Well the world would be minus 3 people. My three beautiful children....so yeah, the world would be different. It wouldn't be as blessed!!! My mom wouldn't have so many headaches...ha ha
My Dad wouldn't have an extra tax deduction....and the students I have taught for l4 years would have missed me....and I them.
My sister would have been an only child....which she probably would have enjoyed....ha ha.....Seriously, I hope I have touched someone's life ......that made a difference.....

I've never thought about it except when watching It's a Wonderful Life with James Stewart.

each person was born for a specific purpose into the time frame in which one lives. we are all unique individuals and each have their own agenda to follow. when each of us complete the purpose we were born to do is completed our souls and spirits are set free by the physical container returning to the earth. our souls and spirits are set free to continue a journey to another plane of existence.

You wouldn't know the difference for sure... The size of your ego really determines if you think the world would be different... that is unless you are very influential.

I have wondered that. The only major change would be my son. If I'd never been born then neither would he, and my grandson.....
