spelling is important.

BUT, it's not okay to make fun of people who can't spell very well, especially someone with dyslexia.

one might do better by helping others get better with their spelling.

Sometimes when the grammer is wrong you cant quite tell what the question means.

I dont know why people make fun of peoples spelling, as long as I understand what it says I dont think it matters. Maybe some people just want two points and can't think of an intelligent answer so they ridicule the spelling. Surely then can understand the words though, as this proves :

Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmotnet tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

O.K. Dyslexic people are a special case.
However, dyslexic people are a tiny minority of the people here.
Perhaps you could identify yourself as dyslexic in order to avoid the flak.

People who speak English as a second language, are a somewhat larger minority, but that does not excuse them from using spell check.

I frequently write in German (a second language for me), but always check to make certain that my spelling and grammar are correct.

I do not feel superior to anybody. A little less lazy than those who refuse to pay attention in school, yes, but not superior.

BTW-The wording of your question, as well as the spelling, is not compatible with dyslexia. Hmmm

Perhaps you should include that in your question or answer so people know not to hassle you for it. It is actually really, really annoying when people post incomprehensible questions and answers, and otherwise people have no way of distinguishing you from people who just can't be bothered to write properly. Or why not use a spell check? It's right there at the of the text box!

Um, no, you didn't spell dyslexia right.

Okay, I'll bite.

Most of the people in the United States want to be perceived as being well-educated enough to put words together in a coherent and understandable way. Unless, of course, you dropped out of school and don't know what the words in the last sentence mean.

The more grammatical errors and misspellings, the lower the education or perception thereof.

Because you are the exception.

Most folks are too lazy to check spelling. It's a harsh truth that you are judged by how you speak (or in the case of Y!A, spell)

Some people feel the need to knock others down because they themselves don't feel good about themselves. So, why not pass around the grumpiness and make the whole world miserable. That's why people knock other peoples spelling, grammar, etc.

if you really had dyslexia you wouldnt be able to write what you wrote, dyslexia isnt a spelling issue, its complete word abnormalities. why a person with dyslexia writes differently is because of the way his or her brain sees the written word differently from the way thier brain is sending the signals to spell correctly. check into it.

I think that it is all aobut people feeling the need to be superior to others and if they can prove / show that they are better at something than another person, then they have achieved that.

It has nothing to do with it, it is all about them and their ego.
