Age and experience can help, but no, parents aren't always right and their advice isn't really objective in the majority of cases!

To them it probably is and it worked for them or they learned it through their growth but no one is always correct. The correct answer is what is healthy and in the best interest of the individual and parents advice may not include everything involved because they dont always know the whole senerio.

Nope, they seem to think so though! The reason people say this is because with age usually comes wisdom. Parents have experienced more so naturally they know more than you do. It is usually best to trust your parents, in the long run they care about what happens to you, they've been there. Try listening to them, you may be shocked to learn that they have the same feelings you have right now.

No, not always. Your parents are only human and although they try to give you advice to be in your best interest, it doesn't mean it is alway correct.

Not necessarily ALL of the time. But parents do have the experience and they are most likey trying to get you to not make the same mistakes they made. I used to never listen to my parents to only realize 10 years later that they WERE right. Live and learn!

Most fo the time. Unfortunately they are only human and can only get so much right but being 15 I know that my parents advice tends to be good advice and I know regardless of what they say most of the time it's because they love me and are protective of me.

First of all, keep in mind that if they didn't love you and care about you, they wouldn't bother to even give you advice. Second, they've been down the same road you're on (maybe just different circumstances) but wiser from their experiences.
How many times have you heard someone say, "I wish I'd have listened to my parents?"

Nah.. Not always correct. But since they've been though far more obstacles than we have, they deserve to be listened to. And well.. Good parents know how to hold their tongues as well.

they seemed to be correct while I was growing up , or perhaps i just did not question them. i don't ask for advice now,as i have not had a situation that i could not figure out for myself. i love it that my mom does not try to dish advice out, but i am sure it would be sound if i did ask her for some.
