They had more MSG in them than potato. That's why a lot of kids from the 90's were hyper. People are wanting more natural flavours these days without the chemicals. Even prawn coctail crisps (full of artificial sweeteners like aspartame and saccharin) have been reduced.

Its simply by fact human beings have been moaning relating to the size of the crisps and what the flavour is. yet id say shop the spring onion ones and that they could locate some extra they do like extremely of ruining different peoples favourites. i like SPRING ONION ONES MY SELF

this is actually very easy to answer

due to global warming and the increase in gene manipulated foods, the native spring onion has changed its mating habits and has become an autumn vegetable

can you imagine buying crisps with autumn onion flavour? i can't even say it without tripping over my tongue

Can still get that flavour near me but cannot find Bovril flavour anywhere and it was my favourite when I was a child (yes I can still remember even though it was some 25 yrs ago!).
