Yes they will conflict BUT the same can be said of any other AV software. You can only run ONE unlike other software, such as Ad-Aware & Spybot S&D which essentially do the same thing.

Yes it most certainly will cause a conflict, if you are fully paid up with your Nortn then stick with it.
If you are not a better solotion to AVG is Avast antivurus another free download and is exeptonally well, Ihave used it for a long time now and not once has anything got through it will scan your email, and any messenger services you use ie msn etc
it will aso scan any web pages, once you get the hang of the settings it's all stystems go note only draw back is that it does take longer to do full pc scan
well worth the wait though.
when i installed it after unistalling Norton it picked up 3 viruses in safe mode your choice

If you are keeping one, why do you need the other? Actually, if you're going to double up on anything, make it your firewall - you do have a firewall? I recommend Zonealarm from Zonelabs if you do not - but don't be fooled into buying the Zonealarm Pro, you'll end up with another virus checker! Just take the free Zonealarm. A firewall will keep everything out, not just viruses. It's much more important these days.

Two anti-virus softwares will conflict. You should install only one anti-virus on a single PC.

You should never run two Anti virus program running in real time on your computer as they will conflict.
You can disable one so its not checking anything in real time but you can use it manually when scanning files

i think most anti-virus will conflict each other either because of they scanned each other or competition in business reason that each software will think the other as a threat
