i have ssen my father a few times in my life when i was around 15 years of age, my mother passed away 19 years a go and i would dearly love to contact my father, but i am at a loss as how to start, i have his name and a photo, this is all, i have children and a grandchild he does not even know about , please can someone give me any ideas how to start im in birmingham uk

Use the internet and do searches by his name. Do you know where he is from? If so try to contact your grandparents. In US we have TV shows that do this for guests, maybe you have this kind of show. If so, contact them.

try 192.com, if he's still in this country then you should find him here as its got info on everyone in the uk. Just type his name in the search box ad where it says location just put in uk or where you last remember him living.

You could try the Salvation Army, they are really good at helping trace people and if they can't help you I am sure they will put you on the right track to finding him yourself, good luck.

look on the net, try to pull his name up, just type it in and a lot will come up then get the phone # and then call to find the right one,or go to public records and they should beable to help good luck
