I found out sometime this summer that the Iraqis were putting on "All Night Long" by Lionel Ritchie during those night raids. I was wondering what you would want to hear if/when you're getting carpet bombed or what you listen to, if anything, you think of when you are in combat. Results to be published on my blog soon.

Well I have been in combat and though Ive not been bombed,, i've definetely been shelled like hell! At that time, believe me, the best music is that of my solidly beating heart, coz u dont know if the next damn shell would break your bunker! Anyways, given a choice, If i knew i was goin to be bombed and if I had a system to drown out the boom and the vibrations, id choose "Eye of the tiger"

not really an answer to your question but i was just thinking what were the best pop songs ever made.My two would be 'Video killed the radio star' by The Buggles. And 'Better the devil you know' by Kylie. Those two are the essence of pop music.
