I am 29 and ahve lived through abuse - in all forms, rape, drug addiction, jail, and a life of hell. God would have sent Jesus to just save me - I am as valuable to Him as His own son, becuase I was bought @ a high price and God would never make a bad deal. To God I am a extraordinary purchase. I can not wrap my brain around that. I belive that God is truly there for me always and that I am in the palm of His hand.

David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades Christianity.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

God bless you. Jesus preached from Isaiah. Isaiah tells of his first coming and sacrafice for us.
I tried to quit drinking on my own a hundred times. I thought I can't be a Christian because of this addiction. After I got saved I laid my addiction at the altar and Jesus took it and cast it far from me. That was 5 years ago and I still haven't had a craving for alcohol.
Praise God.

well, where do I start, first He saved me from going to hell
has gotten me out of numerous situation each time I called His name one time we were late paying the rent and we made A promisory note to the landlord we agreed to pay it on the 9th of september last yearand we were a hundred dollars short, well, my husband works for a towing company and was taking this car to the junk yard well, something told him to look in the car so, not knowing what he was looking for, he sees a pair of pantshe picks them up goes into the pocket and what does he pull out? not 100.00 but three hundred dollars!!!! so, not only did we pay rent when we said we would, but we also were able to buy groceries!!! it was like God said, "not only will I give you the rest of the rent money, but I'll give you enough to get food in the house"
then, there was a couple that went to our church and they moved to new mexico and had bought new cars before they moved and they had a 94' t bird that they were just gonna junk and asked if we could use it and we said yes because we needed A car we were using our Pastor's car at the time and we asked them how much they wanted for it and they said nothing we're giving it to you and we went back and forth with them but they weren't taking our money for nothing so, we finally said ok, we'll take itthen my husband's dad calls and says do we still need A second car and we said yes and he said he was willing to fix up his neon and give it to usand again we said how much and he said nothing I'm giving it to you! and all I could do wasbe in a state of awe and shake my head! God never seizes to amaze me of what He is capable of doing and there has been other times that we needed money or something and He has given it to us tith and attend church and just watch what He does for you and when people hear giving money they all of A sudden think why should I do that well, it says give me my tenthand see if I don't open the flood gates to pour out blessings upon you this is the only thing we are able to test God on. its not that He needs our money because HELLO, He's God but its showing Him that we are faithful to Him because He was first faithful to us.

if he has become your messiah, you are no longer jewish.
ask him yourself, and he'll show you.
or, read here, and see how you were lied to, http://www.jewsforjudaism.org/
then ask god himself to show you the way, you don't need a middle man to speak on your behalf. GOD as you once belived, would not want, or accept a human sacrifice as atonement for sins, how could you have forgotten that?
I hope you find your way back to God, and I belive if you truly ask jesus himself, as a person, and ask god himself, they will show you the real truth, and you can see that jesus was not in fact the messiah that you were looking for. but its ok, because the reasons you were told that made you think he was, and needed to be, were false to begin with.
if you truly trust God himself, then ask him, and listen to the answer. not in people, but in your heart, and in God.

He has saved my life by removing my addiction to drugs and has also helped me with my family and several other things. He is also my best friend whom I talk to each day.

Wow, you do have issues.
A black Jew who adopts the Christian's dead messiah as his buddybuddy companero. Why not go the whole pig and take Muhammed as your prophet, as well? Then you can truly say you are a "Person of the Book."
Letting dead people into your heart is a great way to catch icky diseases, fellah. See a psychotherapist soon. You are overdue for a good brain cleansing.
Try "Cortiwash" - it'll leave your frontal lobes all clean and shiny.

a friend is one who knows the worst things about another and still likes one anyway. there is no greater love shown than when one lays down their life for a friend. can any of us pay a higher honor to JESUS than try our best to emulate HIM in our lives ? I think not.
