Lol. I'm not laughing at you, but I HATE SPIDERS TOO, but the last 4 weeks, I have started to chill out a bit, because of how stressed they make me. I had the biggest spider walk onto the top of my hair and walk across my forehead, well to say the least I was HYSTERICAL and started jumping all over the place screaming like I DON'T KNOW WHAT. My friend came running in thinking I was being murdered. Phew, that was just a horrible experience. I am so bad with them, I opened my shed the other day, and seen this almighty big spider, and I swear he had knee caps and was wearing boots, he was that big, lol, and I ran through my house screaming like he was chasing me. lol.

Anyway, I have now decided they are not my enemy, and I am not going to have a heart attack because of a spider. So, as long as they do not touch me, come within so many feet to me, are not above my head, if I am in bed and a few other things, I have calmed down. Don't get me wrong, I will never like them, but I am trying to live with them.

The other thing is, a lot of spiders don't actually live that long, and they are good for killing other bugs in your house. So try and do what I do, it is actually working for me now, I just walk past them with some distance, say hello and tell them not to come near me, and we will be able to live together. lol.

Another reason I am having to calm down for, is that I scare my 5 year old when I scream. I actually hear the neighbours laughing at me.

YUK, THEY ARE SO NOT NICE.

Give it a go.

i had a serious phobia, got over it by buying a tarantula, first go to a reputible pet shop and find someone there who is willing to help.let the spider walk on your leg or arm, they will never bite unless you provoke the reaction.i now have fifteen different species at home and have handled spiders for ten years, never been bitten once, like all animals tarantulas have a body language, learn to recognise these signs and you'll be fine,as for house spiders they are completely harmless and safe

Go to the jungles of Africa and
spend a few days with the tribals
and your spider phobia will go away
& you will start eating them after
roasting them, like the tribals do.

I had similar phobia, I have overcome
it.

Try exposure therapy. Start by looking at pictures of spiders, then progress to real spiders, then go on to touching them and then picking one up. You have to continue each stage until you feel comfortable before moving on to the next.

kill every one you ever see and some body else will not have to deal with that spider because it's now dead and gone, we have never gotten rid of any critters since the dawn of time their still all with us today. so if you smash them with what ever you can for as long as you can and you'll be cured. raid is fun do them in with foam it makes the chain of evolution
break down and you get rid of them and spray, club, anyway you want as long as you can because there may be a day when advocates of spider rights will be there to protect them as they spin webs for your windows

usually we have phobias because we lack education about that condition. there are of course several spieces of siders that are harmful, but most are not. the more you read about them and learn to identify the ones where you live, the more you will come to know which ones are harmless. after all they are natures creation and they have a place in our environment, the more you know and understand them the more you will come to like them and associate with them because you understand the important role they play in our world. observe them and you will not be afraid of them.

I completely understand you. I don't like them either, and if I see one, my heart starts to beat twice as fast as usually. If my husband is around, I call for him, to kill the spider. If he is not, I have to kill it myself, because I don't like it hiding in my room somewhere. So take a deep breath a newspaper, and...
To overcome your phobia I don't know if it's possible...I've heard people doing it by hypnosis....but I'm not sure I would do it.

You are big...spider is small. Spider doesn't run towards you it runs away! Spiders eat flies...flies poo all over your food. Spiders are your friend!

Think about how irrational you are being!
