In my market the white bread is the first to be sold out, plenty of brown always left.

Well most supermarkets cook the bread in house. Some poor baker has to sit up all night doing it, so to add to his work load would be mean, and also it can swing both ways, so it'd be hard to predict what is gona sell out first. sometimes there's no white, other times, there's no brown. It depends what you're after...Whatever you're after will be what has sold out....

They think white bread is more popular and therefore order more white than brown in.
So then all the brown bread is gone it's sao annoying, when they only have the little brown breads left.

You should bring this to the attention of the store manager so they can correct it.
My guess is that in this increasingly health conscious time, people are looking for the healthier alternatives in their foods and "brown" bread probably has more whole wheat in it and is a healthier choice.

I think it is because all of the brown bread gets sold first. That's the only reason I can think of.

Come to my local shop, there is always brown left and never any white. I cannot eat brown as it makes my belly swell up like a football and gives me cramps.

Because brown bread is a lot healthier for you, so people buy it more than white bread.

Better to sell out than to over-stock. Besides, when they run out of brown it will mean people will start buying the white, thus helping to shift more product.

Because more people buy brown bread, if they bought too much in then it would be wasted, how do they know exacly jow many are going to buy each day? Its an estimation with regards stock buying, my advice would be to go earlier in the day....

i take it that youre talking about wheat bread. the reason is that people think about there health alot more now than in previous years, and wheat bread is good for you. white bread is actually detrimental to youre health. so alot more people are buying wheat and other whole grain breads. now im hungry for a reuben sandwich on some hearty beefsteak rye bread.
