Whilst most of them are doing balance transfers to interest free accounts they are nearly all charging a balance transfer fee of between 2 and 3% which would mean you have to pay in the region of £25. At present the Post Office is not charging a transfer fee and they have a interest free period of 6 months

Read the details on this account you are talking about very carefully. Usually there is a promotional period in which this is only good for before the interest and fees kick in. I heard of people that had good credit and found way to get their credit cards paid off early. They transferred their card to another card company and paid as much as they could before the promotional period ended and then transferred again to another, and so on, and all the money went to the balance, no interest. It is a good thing if you know what you are dealing with. Watch out though, some credit card companies, like citi bank will constantly look into your credit report and raise your interest on the card if there is any negative activity on your report even though it was not your fault and even when you do straighten it out, it won't make a difference. B.T.W. The card that i ws talking about had a o percent balance transfer for a certain period, and transferred again before that period was up. Good Luck to you. ( Ill never have another C.C. except the one I have left now and it is only used for emergency only like on line orders, or if a car rental is needed, and it is paid off before I even get that bill!

MBNA which offers a 16month 0% interest rate on purchases and balance transfers. Apply online for an account. Once open, wait for your next bill from current card supplier so you get your exact owed amount, then call MBNA and transfer the whole amount. It takes about a month to sort out in all but it's worth it.

You need to apply to any company offering interest free credit. Check on moneysupermarket.com for the best rate at the moment. Bear in mind, though that there is usually an admin charge by most card issuers.
All the best.

Try Nat West or Capital one, they had some good deals when I transferred, although C1 charge 2% but you can add that to the balance.
