"Experienced" is not the correct word .
If you mean most well equipped to fight in the Afghanistan then it must be the Taliban as they have no Rules of Engagement and can do as they wish, our troops on the other hand have Strict Rules and face Prosecution by the Goverment or Persecution by the press if they break them. Tanks and Helicopters wont win this conflict as the Taliban just melt away into the Mountains and recover for the next time... are troops on the other hand have no rest Facilities and live in Constant risk from the next person who walks down the road with a smile on there face ... with a bomb under there clothes... The people (goverment) have no regard to the troops as Hain (defence minister ) admitted that he is looking for advancement in the Goverment and the issue of Equipment for Iraq & Afghanistan is low on his political agenda...
I Make this Promise if my brother is killed out there then there will be payback for someone..

The British Army aren't the only ones down there, there's also the Canadians, plus others... My husband is in the Canadian Military & no the Taliban are not more experienced. They are extremists not wanting to give up their uncivilized ways. The Afghanistans who are living in peace are the ones who are paying the price for this war & want the troops there to protect them, the Afghanistan President is in Canada today to thank the Canadian Military for all of their help. But now I'm just rambling on, to answer your question... The Taliban don't fight fairly, they'll use bicycles loaded with bombs to kill the troops in Afghanistan, while they don't give a darn about the innocent children the troops are handing candy & pencils to. 27 civilians (mostly children) were killed just a few days ago by the Taliban trying to get to the Canadians. The British & Canadian Armies are way more careful & don't want to hurt the innocent, thats why they at times may take their time to do the job right!

As far as training and operating the British military is the finest in the world you will find no better pound for pound fighting force in the world.
In Afghanistan the Taleban has more experience of fighting in that county as those that are still alive are the good ones all the rest are dead. Also they had years of practise with the Russians.
I just remembered that I should add that the SAS and other elite sections of the British military were in Afghanistan when the Russians were there training the Taliban so they probably both know each other quite well.

Without a doubt you'd have to say the Taliban have the home advantage and they've been scrapping since the 70's so must be competent. But since the British Army has gone back in they've killed loads whilst suffering much lower casualty rates. I expect the Brits will be picking up all the experience they need as all we've done for the last 15 years or so is fight and train to fight in the middle east.

That is a difficult question. The Taliban are experienced in guerrilla warfare and have been fighting in this manner for many years. Soldiers of the British Army are extremely well trained in cooperative tactics and the application of firepower. the only way to gage the "experience" factor is to look at the body count...the Taliban is loosing

just for your infor....
in an ambush as this was it is not expected that anyone will live so this should give you some idea of the metal of the british army...they all lived.
to take out a enemy position of up to 3 men ie a machine gun nest, you would need a troop of men. a troop would need a company and so on and on
so as you can see the finest fighting force in the world....the taliban should be winning because of experience of the land but they are not they are a bunch of female oppressing rag heads who are only god for supplying the world heroin

Experience is on the Talibans side because they are fighting a Guerilla war and have come off the back off a war against Russia.
The british army with all their technology and weaponary are only equipped to fight short expeditionary wars and not long drawn out conflicts. While they have experience of guerilla war in N. Ireland they still couldn't defeat the IRA and were fought to a military stalemate.

For the main familiar area we are no longer in Afghanistan to triumph over the country. there are a number of reason of the British being there, the main familiar ones being the re-construct of the country, restoring regulation and order, attempting to offer up the production of opium and heroin which with the aid of ways is the main familiar investment for lots of the terrorist's interior the middle east. For the 2nd area, we've been advised why Britain have been sending squaddies to Afghanistan, you in user-friendly terms ought to take a sprint activity in contemporary affairs. i've got self belief that Britain had a expeditionary rigidity interior the Afghan area interior the 1800's yet we could no longer defeat the rebels, and there have been different worldwide places that have tried the comparable yet failed, any hoo, we are no longer there to triumph over an un-conquerable united states of america, we are there to offer up the drugs popping out to the west, offered, and the west's money going back to purchase explosives, bullets, and different weapons to apply against the soldier's from this united states of america and the USA plus all the civilian's interior the worldwide. So extremely they are doing us all a favour, properly no longer the drug addicts who're investment the terrorists via their addiction. just to make it easier to know, we are no longer cannon fodder. That assertion has extremely pissed me off. in case you in user-friendly terms knew what education British squaddies do each 365 days, and how lots time and attempt is put in to make us the final professional military interior the worldwide. the many times used soldier interior the British military is greater effective experienced than lots of the so referred to as specific forces of alternative armies. Now have you ever finished demeaning the British military and all the brave squaddies risking their lives foreign places, retaining your Lilly white @rse from the undesirable human beings?
