i totally agree, but we need 2 exercise our imaginations for it 2 b healthy. i used 2, and still would if we could play d&d[dungeons&dragons}
and it was awesome using the imagination. now im a video game lover and an outdoorsman so i can relate 2 either interest. its just that playin d&d as a pc[playing character] or as dm [dungeon master} was very stimulating 2 my imagination. we would literally play all weekend long, and b4 we new it it was sunday afternoon and we had 2 go 2 school the next day. now i know ur probably sayin what a geek and i actually challenged several of the so called finest girls in school 2 give it a try cause they said the same thing and at the end of the night they were amazed.erased the geek stamp, and i was far from a geek in school. if u use your imagination regurally it can take u far away and u can escape from whatever it is that u need 2 forget.
imagination is 1 of the greatest attributes we have, and we all should use it more often

It matters more what YOU think. Imagination can help us plan a road map to go or do something real; and imagination (a creative mind) can create whole worlds that do not exist, places we can explore even though they "never were." That which is imagined might be turned into reality, that is, created.
You might enjoy reading a little about Carl Sagan to get with his kind of thinking.
imagination "the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality" -- Mirriam-Webster ONLINE

"...those explorations required skepticism and imagination both. Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go nowhere. Skepticism enables us to distinguish fancy from fact, to test our speculations. The Cosmos is rich beyond measure in elegant facts, in exquisite interrelationships, in the subtle machinery of awe."
(Carl Sagan) This is a quote from Carl Sagan's Books Cosmos.
I believe it means we have to be inspired by our imagination in order to explore and discover. Worlds that never were--refers to a state before imagination inspired one to discover the worlds. So imagination gets us somewhere. There is a purpose for imagination and it is this that the human race has advanced thanks to the imagination of the few great men of science.

Imagination is the only vessel or means of transportation that man uses to escape the real world. Imagination transports us to unknown worlds and also to a world only known to you. Without imagination, man will not be able to achieve anything. Take for instance technology. Technology would be non-existent if not for the
imagination of certain individuals. Because of imagination, man has achieved so much throughout the ages.

To paraphrase what someone said about Patriotism being a last refuge--
Imagination is most often the excuse given by people who have just screwed something up big time.

I fully agree with you. You see imagination while we are awake is closely linked to dreaming when we are asleep. Imagination, hope and dreams are all closely linked. I believe nothing in this World would remain stagnant if one imagines, hopes and dreams and would quote the Hon. President of India, Dr APJ Kalam "Dream, dream and dream big, for dreams come true". Thanks for the opportunity you gave to express myself.
