My mother-in-law passed away because of a major illness that went undetected,until she died.Hubby is very depressed.But he it too busy taking care of my FIL that he is neglecting me.I feel very hurt.Its almost 1 month now .Pls dont tell me that he needs the time etc etc......i can understand all that...but i am also a human being with emotions...

Take a time is his mother. Just being for him is good enough. Silence is golden and be good from heart can help.

What does he say if you ask him if he could take the time to talk to you? I'm sure that if you ask, not demand, him to talk to you he won't say no. But be sure to ask him when he has got the time or ask him in the morning if he has time in the evening and make an appointment and if he says no or forget, try not to get upset just ask him again. as you said..you are human, he also a human. Talk to him and share your problem and ask him to share his.Both of you need to speak up.Whatever religion are you...both of you can get together and pray..it's work. Just believe and surender everything to God.
Remember..when he is depressed, you should be the pillar ok.

Don't feel neglected, he is going thru depressed mode and can come out of it ONLY WITH YOUR help. Try to take extra good care of him, do things that wud please him. Keep doing the good work, it's bound to pay!!! Good Luck!!

Try to get involved more with his day to day activities....and also let him know how you feel....although it is very hard when you lose someone we have to keep the living happy aswell........be as supportive as you can be...and as you already know it does take time to heal

i suggest you include yourself in helping to care for the FIL, a shared task will bring you closer together and ease the burden on you both. ... pitch in.

tell him you have your needs too... and need to connect with him.
also if you chip in to help care for your FIL he will respect and love you for it.
and he will channel his gratitude and respect to you!!
