I used to say "hammered" but I've got bored with that and now I'm trying to popularise "monstered".

Although I have a theory that pretty much any word ending in "ed" will do the trick. How about... Last night I was aubergined, hedgehogged, Picassoed, cannonballed, Cillit-banged, Yorkshired?

Normal drunkenness: 'Gallaghered'

Violent drunkenness: 'Jay Kay-O'ed'

Drunkenness involving a car and a bad mugshot: 'Melled'

Other interesting substances: 'Dohertied' (in time, this will evolve to just 'Dottied')

PS: Why isn't there an interesting substance called 'Keefer'? It's the least we could do, since he missed out on the kinghthood.

Locked and flutered are classic Irish ones, and scuttered, that sounds horrible tho.

You "ed" theory is quite accurate actually!!

I normally use "wrecked" sometimes "trolleyed", "f*cked" or just "I was a state last night"
