yes, and sadly, most people just take the dogma as fact. And I don't mean the Da Vinci code stuff either. That is fiction.

Nothing wrong with questioning, it is the answer that is the problem. Do you admit when you are wrong. Did you read my last post proving you are wrong that Mary Magdeline is not the same person as the disciple whom Jesus loved.

From the start of the Protestant Reformation 1500 years after the death of Christ, Martin Luther an ex- German priest interpreted the Bible on his own having the second largest revolt against the Holy Catholic Church. From then on, there were different religious off shoots from Protestantism right down to Christian cults who conveniently interprets the Bible for their perverted and selfish agenda.

The Church was doing just fine until people started interpreting the bible for themselves. Now Christianity is split into hundreds of cults, with more springing up daily. Each cult insists that they are the only correct interpretation. Even within cults, there are sub-cults. Look how the Anglicans, the Baptists, and the Cloud Dancers have all fragmented. There is no hope for ecumenical movements as long as people think for themselves. George Bush said no more thinking!

In order to find the correct meaning and context of chapters and verses of the Bible to understand it correctly, one needs to study the Scriptures.
The Bible says to do so
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.

There are lot of questions like why God created the earth, when how? and why all these troubles in the world?. what is end of mankind?, where will he go after death? etc.
Except Bible, there is no acceptable answers from any other source. Until then it is better to go according to The Bible.

You have plenty of people answer your question, and you're more worried about my "Da Vinci Code" comment? Think of the Bible however you want, just let's all end up in the same place, okay?

Scripture interprets Scripture. And if a spade is a spade, calling it a fork won't change the fact its a spade.
