if you can live under a rock and hide from all the regulators in the world you have a slim to no chance at all. seems like the more you get these locked-in sessions of drifting back the more the positive affirmational souls will crawl out of the woodwork and seize your guilt to hemorrhage away at your system. never have i seen their equal as they are today. all who wait for the future to get here they bare the burden of proof that they aren't always right but their never wrong. some positive people out there reek with being a sociopath. (bad stuff) the big secret is to don't do your past thing around people who can't perceive what you enjoy, alot of this going around today. the young totally don't have building blocks that are informed with why people have any links like this, they are not weaving life's fabrics together as they fit but rather they see you as wrong and this justifies their feeling which we shall say will be left undisclosed. kinda like your bad so that's gotta make me good. don't be there when this type of thinking is causing guilts over what you choose at any given time to refresh in your mind and explore. the only thing new in life is the history you didn't learn is the wise crack and it has proven to be weather the storm nicely

OH Yeah! I do. I left the state I live in now and moved to Alaska for quite some time. My pasttime was fishing for king salmon on weekends. I would set up a tent, start a warm fire, have my favorite tunes, fishing gear and a twelver of my fav beer. I remember sitting on the rocks, watching the Northern sun go down as another day go's into the past. Of course I would'nt catch a king, but I sure would have my quota of Dolly Varden for a midnight snack and about that time an old friend would tromp though the bush. I named him bud, an old roamer of a lab dog. we would enjoy each others company and watch the setting sun which never really go's down in the summer. He would stay with me throughout the night and taught me how to speak dog.
I'd fall asleep and when morning came around that sleese would be gone. then It would be back to fishing. I really miss that and often think why I traded living in Alaska and moving back to the" tax me and Jail me" state of Wisconsin. Nothing has changed since I was gone all of my friends are still getting high, listening to the tunes I left them with and are nowhere in life. But thats ok with them. I moved on and found better. Im not a loner,I just really enjoy being in a perfect setting in nature, eyes wide open and soaking in the splendor.
Sure you may think about that good time you had, put it behind you and find alot more good times. There is a whole world of good times. But do know when enough is enough. You have a future to create. You need to be the participant to put together the right ingredients to almost but not quite enjoy the same type of memory you had. Now go for it,
Best wishes! I was happy to share that with all.

I think that when you say "live in the past" it makes it sound bad. Are you sure that's what you really mean? Like, you're so stuck in the past that you can't see what's in front of you now? Or do you mean that you are a person who is capable of cherishing the wonders of your childhood memories or other memories? If it's the latter, I'd say you are blessed with the ability to cherish and appreciate, which is something many, many people lack these days. Also, it's a wonderful thing to be able and capable of embracing your past. So many people are trying to figure out who they are and where they're headed to, but they've lost track of who they always were, so they feel lost on the map of life. If you're aware of who you always were, and have wonderful memories to cherish and replay in your head, you'll know where you're headed to and who you are. There's nothing wrong with that.

All of us wish at certain times in our life to live in the past, especially the happy care free days we enjoyed when we were young. To go down memory lane once in a while and feel nostalgic is alright. But we should not always live in the past and be stuck to it forever. Doing so will only make us feel sad and make the future messy and miserable.

if u r learning from past mistakes then it is ok to recall the past but it is very disappointing the past bad happenings if u thought that u can do something in present by thinking of ur past then it is ok . but again it is disappointing if u r leaving present by thinking of past. don't think hard about future or past , u r in present so be in present and life will give u b'tfl present

There's a wise saying that goes, "Don't let yesterday use up too much of today!" by Will Rogers. Nothing wrong with having pleasant MEMORIES, but that is where they will do you the best benefit, as memories, so that for today and tomorrow you can learn from those times as you strive ahead toward new, focused, realistic, happy goals as well.

Some people still think disco is cool... Usually your father/grandfather find themselves in a hair or clothes style from some point in the past that they thought was good. You just have to look at that wonderful past moment and try to out do it.

You can't live in the past because it's always the present. In the present, you can think about the past but it can't satisfy you. If you're hungry in the present, thinking about the banquet last year will only make you hungrier.
