You would have got a lot more response had you put your question in computer/Internet. However here are some free products you should download to keep your computer safe.
Antiviral. (free)
AVG free. Excellent protection available from: http://www.Grisoft.com
Don't use two antiviral products together as they may be incompatible. If your Antiviral trial has run out, then remove product from your computer and get the AVG installed.
Anti-spyware (all free)

forget norton and get zone alarm, its cheaper and more reliable and easier to use. Never had a prob with zone alarm but had constant probs with norton.
zone alarm also has different versions, security suite is the best but I have zone alarm anti-virus, never had a virus or other problem yet............touch wood.

Renew it, but make sure you don't go on the interent without it as it could cause alot of problems!!!!!!!!!!

Norton crashed our computer, you could renew your subscription but I wouldn't if I were you.
