If you have to try to save it, it was never there in the 1st place. If love was truly there it would not need to be "rescued". Because each day both would be trying to do all they good to keep it running right and with full steam. Just like you would your car.

It takes 2 to tango. Both have to be committed to being there for the other and putting the other 1st. Be comfortable in the roles each have in the relationship. And enough respect that if the other brings a critique, you can learn from it and not get all defensive.

You can't. Both people have to want to save it and they have to do it themselves. Love is something you simply don't interfere with unless you want to lose a friendship or whatever relationship you have to the couple. If you are one of the couple, save yourself time and heartache. If the other person doesn't try you don't stand a chance - you just waste a part of your life better spent moving on and learning to know when the deck is stacked against you.

Communication, love, respect, a little space and trust! And there are so much more...but the most important saving factor is PRAYER! God answers prayers and no matter how bad your relationship may seem to be, God can mend it and heal a broken relationship.

both should spend time to really talk and listen. talk as if they are just friends, and listen as if they are listening to a friend's grievances. most of the time we are not sarcastic to a friend as compared to how we treat our husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend. if you wanna know more about your partner and understand him/her better, i suggest you get a copy of jenny king's know him completely and know her completely (separate book). i personally proved these books could move mountains.

I think romance and honesty is the key. You have to communicate the good and the bad. If you really love someone you have to be open about your feelings.
