Over a year later my ex is still wrecking my head with text messages etc. He said at the time we broke up that he wasnt ready for committment, am i better off just to STOP replying to all his texts etc and make him wonder for the rest of his life?

just send the odd tect all is well and you hope he is getting on in his life he should not be pestering you

Hey read it carefully!!!!!
There are few possiblities for your ex to give you a call now again:
- He realized that you are the best for him after loosing you
- He is guilty
- He needs some more favour ar just wana time pass with you now
Yu know what can be the possible reason.
Now if you also lov him now and wana reconcile everything then talk to him look in his eyes you will get to know that are there any feelings or not?
If you have somebody else in your life now and you do not have any interest in your ex then just make it clear to him that now you are not interested!!!!

Depending on what level your relationship came to before he wanted time apart, taking a step back may seem strange. Especially if he is so at ease in just being your friend after.
Do you still have feelings for him? If you guys get back together, maybe you are meant to be. If not, do what makes you happy for now.

If he is doing your head in then stop answering his texts. You are making him think you still want to be connected with him.
Do you want to stay friends? My boyfriend is good friends with his ex wife 15 years after their divorce. Its quite funny going out for meals with his daughter, mum and dad, me, and his ex wife!!
If you want him out of your life then delete his number and stop replying. He will soon get the message!!

it depend. if you care for him like a friend then should tell him that.
