my children were adopted out and now my daughter is 15
can she legally contact me on her own or is she to young still

If you go onto the Dr. Phil site, or the Oprah site, they will have information that can help you in your search. They have both done shows on families being reunited after these types of circumstances. Many adopted children have contacted their birth parents, with the help and guidance of their adoptive parents, at ages younger than eighteen. I do believe that the adoptee can search on their own once they become eighteen. If you contact social services in your area, they may have a legal aid department that can help you in your search. she can contact u unless she doesn't know that she is adopted. the family may not want to tell her. u could always try a talk show thats free

ADOPTION REGISTRY IS ONE OF THEM...SHE IS STILL TO YOUNG TO SEARCH FOR YOU....IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING (I HAVE A DAUGHTER AND SON THAT I ADOPTED OUT ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO MYSELF AND AM SEARCHING FOR AS WELL) THAT AN ADOPTED CHILD CNA'T LEGALLY SEEK OUT THEIR BIRTH PARENTS UNTIL THE AGE OF 18 UNLESS THEY HAVE THEIR PARENTS OKAY OR HAVE BEEN AMANCIPATED.

sometimes it can be very hard to locate a blood mother.... I believe her gurdian would have to do this- until she is 18- then she can do on her own...
