We should all have guidlines, rules, codes of conduct that we all could live by. Enforced by a body chosen by the whole planets community with no exclusions. Religion in all forms should be banned. Its time to start feeling our way in the world. ie If it hurts don't do it. If it hurts someone else, don't do it. The rules are simple and most of us already know it.

Religion is an Institution created by man for man, from what I can tell your basing all this on the ideology of Fanatical Muslimism and their faith, Christianity is not waging war on the world nor is Catholicism, Hinduism or any other religion.
The Jewish and the Palestinians are at each other’s throats over religious beliefs this is true, but their beliefs are really no different to the other nor is one less significant, this does not make them in anyway better or more justified for their diabolical actions!

God is not an institution nor is he a religion; I find it baffling how people cannot simply identify this. Maybe if you read the words of Jesus Christ in the Gospel according to Thomas you might be less Fastidious to judge those of faith and simplicity in their religious beliefs.

After all it is the true words of Jesus Christ in his final days before his Crucifixion that only matter...
The Vatican regards it as heresy and has it locked away in the Vatican tombs, as the truth would probably tare down the church today if it was let out!

This is Jesus's own words...
'The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, not in mansions of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there -- lift a stone and you will find me. These are the hidden sayings that the living Jesus spoke. Whoever discovers the meaning of these sayings shall not taste death.'

This i believe says it all really...

I love God; I do not need a house of worship to tell me this! Even though I am a Pagan, I have looked intensely into other religious Doctrine for my own curiosity, it is not the religion more so than the people that take it, abuse it and throw it into the chaos of their own fanatical beliefs as a means to justify their actions, for what more so could be justified than to die for God or in his name even though God does not condone this, it makes the Assassin, terrorist more comfortable with their own ignorance!

Religion is only part of the problem, the true problems of this world lye with the Corporations of this world and the worlds most powerful Governments, it all comes down to Globalisation and Greed, which is why we are the problem also, think about what you do, what you buy and what fat cats your giving money too every time you buy a Car, oil, gas, Designer clothing etc!

That’s why mankind needs education, as we have been feeding the Fat cats long enough and it is time to set the balance straight, after all they are the true evil of this world...and are doing their best to destroy it for their own means of Profit, all we are is cattle to them.

So do yourself a favour... and wise up!

i dont think its the religion that is causing the problem it is the ppl abusing religion, such as killing in the name of islam when islam does not state anything about violence. everything written about each religion is not 100 % true coz islam says u do that and hinduism says its meant to be the other way round and christians have their views and so do the jews etc. ppl always have faith in their religion but everything in religion is not 100 %. But 1 thing in common that every religion has and is 100 % true is that their is a god out there and all the different religions are worshipping the same god, but just in different ways. i am not sure that everything written in the bible or quran etc is true but 1 thing is true and thats god. all the world should be worshipping the lord together, but i am sure this wont happen so to answer ur question i think yes in this world we could live without some religions.

Religions are the cause of too many problems. The good deeds they compel people to do and the security they offer do not outweigh the genocide, hate and terrorism which they fuel.

I'm not religious at all and I'm doing just fine. I haven't been struck by lightning, stoned to death or in any way been smote by God(s).

We do have laws governing life and its called, aptly, the law. Jail is Hell, the cops are Angels (haha, cant believe i said that) and etc..

The least religious societies on Earth are also the most peaceful, prosperous, civilised, enlightened, egalitarian, comfortable places to live. So the answer is a resounding "Yes", we could (and should) live without religion. The world would be that much the better for it.

I live without religion! I know many who live without religion! In fact its probably harder to live with religion (God=The big fella. will punish you if you don't follow rules in some form or another) I couldn't live like that. I prefer to stick to what I know is true - reality, and not a far fetched story from thousands of years ago. Be true to your fellow man and not to an imaginary overseer!

I don't mind the idea of spirituality, it's the established church which has spoiled a rather simple idea 'be good to other people' with their 'man' made rules and regulations! If we could all live our lives like this, the world would be a much nicer place.

I live without religion and it works fine for me. I already know how to be good and kind and honest, I do not need someone preaching it to me once a week. My parents did a good job thank you very much ;0) and I do not feel guilty as hell when I make a mistake, I just feel human and I learn from it. Its a much kinder way learn.

We could live without religion but not beliefs. We all need something to believe in, it could be a god or a way of life to give our life some sort of meaning. Some just need guidance.
