It has been in existance. You have to know what "Hell" is first of all.
When I can find it 162 times in my New Testament, I will believe it! It is the Word-we must believe it!
Hell is mentioned in 8 different ways.
Is There A Real Hell?
What do these names Sheol, Hades, Gehenna, Queber, Tartarus, Abyss, Hell, and the Lake of Fire mean.
The Lake of Fire (Hell) has yet to be built.

It has been in existence. Christ decended to hell to get the early believers before his ascention to heaven(Ephesians 4). Also in 2 Peter chapter 2 it talks about God sending the sinning angels to hell... putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment.

The original idea of HELL was the absence from the presence of GOD.
This changed as the Christian religion developed and had to add on to its self things to fit what it preaches.SHAME AND FEAR.
