i for one find them a mighty fine sweet my eyes and waistline fell out when i first saw the large packets you can buy but some people say they taste like perfume but i suppose its like marmite you either do or you dont like

I have to admit that these are a childhood dislike of mine, yep I thought they tasted like perfume or eating flowers and couldn't bare to eat them, my partner loves them and even my youngest daughter loves them, and when she picks a packet of sweets and comes back with the packet of them I am disgusted as I know no matter how much i crave for a sugar buzz I will say no when I am offered one.
Used to hate marmite but love it now, mind you it has to be put on my toast thinly,
Also used to hate peanut butter and love that now, I put it on a bagel for my breakfast without normal butter and it is the best.
Amazing how our tastes change over the years.

They were on the black market at home under apartheid (no pun intended) as were many European/British sweets like Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts.
Any relatives coming over always had to bring a supply for us kids.
Loved parma violets & Black Jacks.

I love them!!!!!
I used to buy loads of those huge packets an eat em all in one go!!! I get so addicted I have to be very careful how many packs i buy!!

Hate. They taste like soap flakes. Incidentally I also hate marmite. It looks and tates like tar.

I had one accidently and thought they were love hearts(which rock) but i found out it wasnt when this discusting perfume old lady taste appeared in my mouth. YUUKKK
