It isn't wrong. It can be problematic if the two people live far from each other. I think that is a waste of time. The chances of being together are slim to none.
I personally have met some great guys & also some creeps.
But, I keep my romances local and realistic.
I know many people who have met and married their spouse and they are very happy.
I do think it wrong when two people just connect on the internet and ocassionally on the phone. They are always in a fairytale land. They waste time with a relationship that can't go anywhere and suddenly life has passed them by and they don't have a real person to hold and really be with.
I personally like dating men I can see

Its absolutely not wrong to date online.Am dating someone right now that i haven't met yet.He is from my country but at the moment he is working in another country.We've been communicating through messengers and telephones like some five months ago.I wouldn't say its an easy thing because sometimes u feel like its not true.Am not sure even now whether this person is true or not.I've met his friends here and they've talked positively abt him to me.The only problem is that he keeps on postponing his comings.First time he was meant to come in June,went on to October,last week he said his boss was not there and he has postponed it to December.On Monday this week he told me he will be coming on October 5 and yesterday night he called me saying he won't make it on 5th but this time on 17th October.Am thinking of moving on and forget abt him.
Anyway sorry for writing all that.But if u r planning to date someone online take your time on knowing this "person".If you feel he/she is the right person,go for it.All the best.

How do you date online? Does that mean you surf the same website at the same time?
Oh you mean meet someone online and then go out. How is meeting someone online different then meeting someone any other way? The internet is just another way to meet people. Get over your hangup because it is just a tad bit silly.

i don't think it's wrong just not for me. I need to be able to see the girl on a daily basis to before i start talking about dating. I have never deeply known anyone online

no, just get to know the person and see them on web cam to make sure it is them while talking to u, phone pc to pc with yahoo messenger,,, then when u feel comfoortable the both of u, meet in a public place. also find out likes dislikes , and both be honest, honsety is a foundation, without it u are nothing, trust is important too. meeting after u know them well should be fun but also in a public place first time...

Not at all. Meeting a guy in a bar or at the shopping store is no different. In todays society its hard to find the time to go out and meet people. If its here that we meet and connect - then cool.

No not if you and the person agree on stuff and you care about 'em. Like before I even knew my x bf existed I met him on the internet and we hit it off. So nope not one bit unless you're like thirty trying to date a sixteen year old.

no. I think child molesting is wrong. Child pornography is wrong. Old geizers trying to get with children online is wrong...but online dating...its alright.
