whats the difference between a normal church & a spiritualist church?

Spiritualists actually have the equivalent of seances during their services where they attempt to give those in the congregation messages from their deceased loved ones. Thus there will be one or more mediums (who can communicate with the "other side") there conducting the service or as Guest Speakers. The service will contain some aspects of a more traditional service - in that there will be hymns sung and prayers taken. The Spiritualists still dedicate themselves to Christ - so it can be described as a Christian service. I have to say, having read a couple of the other Answers that I have NEVER been to a Spiritualist Service where people jump around and shout. The congregation tend to be quiet, only talking when receiving messages - in fact a lot of mediums get frustrated because often no-one will speak up to take the message they want to give - without a bit of "badgering". That's the reticence of the English coming out, I suppose. The services involving jumping, clapping, shouting etc sound more like a description of Evangelical Services - which are more a type of Christian service than anything to do with Spiritualism

The person runing the show. A normal church is claim easy going. A spiritualist church everyone sing and jumping out there sets really getting into the groove of it.
(When I said the person running the show I wasn't talking about God. I was talking about the person in fort of the room is all.)

Spiritualist churches (and I've been to one) sing the same songs as christian churches and talk about following Jesus, but they disobey God's word by contacting the dead. I'm sure they think they are doing people a favour but in fact by doing this they are maybe unkowingly contacting evil spirits. Who believes that evil spirits arent' capable of pretending to be someone dead and pretending to be of God, so they can decieve you into doing something that keeps you from God? Its very clear in the Bible that God hates all things occult, that's from horoscopes to tarot to spiritualism. I used to be into all that, but when I actually met Jesus, I soon felt how wrong it is and stopped.

spiritualist put a lot more envasis on the spirit of God of course he is with all of us but in those churches they expect people to be demenstrating it by shourting and screaming honestly I think most of it is put on
