so you wanna open up a can of whoop-*** like captain insano against a fighter with real skills?

okay, all those moves are lame. the only ones that will work in a real streetfight are:

1. iron sheik's camel clutch
2. greg "the hammer" valentine's figure four leglock
3. jake "the snake" robert's sleeper hold

(oh, and don't forget to lay that python on your opponent's chest when he's out)

good luck dude!

Look man, most of the moves you see on those "professional wrestling shows" are not real moves, they're choreographed, fake, just to make a good show for the fans.

while some techniques are possible like a fireman's carry can be used if an opponent is running towards you (because your using his forward momentum to throw him), in a real fight those kinds of techniques will not work.

So you can't equate what you see on WWE as real stuff because only a very small amount of the techniques you see actually have ANY real application at all, those guys run through the "matches" every day before they go "on stage" in front of every one that comes to the arena, IT'S A SHOW, ENTERTAINMENT, not real; all the WWE is, is an action soap opera if you think about it.

If you think those, you can actually use the techniques you listed in a street fight, my friend you'd better call ahead to the local Emergency Room to reserve you a bed, because you'll be visiting reeeaaal soon.

the only kind of wrestling that can be used in the mixed martial arts competition is Greco Roman or what is used in the Olympics and high school wrestling.

if you do think they'll work, good luck and I hope you have a good insurance to pay your medical bills.

In my experience, most street fights normally have about 2-3 punches thrown and then end up in a wrestling match anyway. But something like a Suplex?, . . . that's strictly for the movies and TV.

I have seen a DDT done a few times. But most of the time you don't see many move that require lifting the other person beacuse of the sheer amount of strength needed. I once tried to do a power bomb on someone and they nearly broke their neck. Please bear in mind that in the ring, the other wrestler assists the guy doing the move so as to make the move look better and to make it easier for the wrestler doing the move. Just take my advice and the WWE's: don't try any of the moves at home for a mess about, as you could seriously injure yourself and/or the person you are doing the move on.

Some of the submission techniques that I've seen used could work, but too many of the moves like pile drives, suplexes and the like are such taht doning them outside of the ring would cause as much damage to you as to your opponent. The ring floor gives, the ground doesn't. And if your opponent doesn't have and training, they won't know how to protect themselves in a fall and you could kill them accidnetally, especially with moves designed to drop them on their head. Best to stay away from them for your own safety...

Now techniques from Greco-Roman wrestling are very effective in real life combat situations...try learning that if you want to incoroporate wrstlin into your fighting style. It added a whole new dimesion to my fighting when I learned it back in the 80's.

Real wrestling and grappling (not wwe or any of that crap) does work in a fight because a lot of fights end up on the ground.
