Can I encash it and have it deposited in a bank after I have reprinted it with a printer?

No, you used to be able to write a cheque on anything but you can't now.
Also it must have the original sig, not a copy

try scanning Dollar Bills and deposit them as well.Oh ya and stocks Bonds claims you name it just keep on scanning.

when have you ever been able to cash a copy of a check? be realistic. they want the actual check, not a copy.

I believe that you can, and I do know that there are people who fax checks.
