So I was watching the season premier of "The Office" w/ my kids (my 2 dogs) and made a bag of popcorn. They wouldn't leave me alone so I was throughing pieces to them! I honestly don't know if I did a bad thing or not! My friend said it can hurt them, but i had never heard that before!!! Any Help?
There small breeds if that helps?

They should be fine. We used to give our dogs popcorn all the time, we still do actually..we just don't eat it as much.

Popcorn isn't bad for dogs. The only thing bad that can come from it is that it may be bad for their teeth.
Don't you hate it when a piece of popcorn gets stuck between your gums or your teeth? Well you can easily brush it out. Dogs can't, so it stays there and turns to tartar.
So make sure to brush your dogs teeth afterwards just to make sure they don't get any popcorn stuck in their gums or teeth.

I'm picky with what my dog eats. I dont give her very many table scraps. Just the occassional left over eggs from breakfast and of course popcorn because she loves it so much.
It hasnt had any ill effects on her and believe me she eats her share.

Popcorn is fine as long as you don't overdo it..If the dog has food allergies, he couldn't have pop corn, but I share mine with all of my dogs, and it has never done any harm..If it is a tiny puppy, I remove the hard seed part, and just toss the fluff..

As long as it was popped, there shouldn't be a problem. I used to give my dog popcorn all the time. However, it did give him some nasty gas.

As long as you don't give them too much, it shouldn't hurt them. I have a small dog and have given him popcorn and he had no ill effects.

Always remember that dogs are frm wolves and wolves eat carrion. real rotton meat.
We may have bred dogs to different shapes but digestive wise they can handle an awful lot.
My dog loves popcorn, but doesn't want pepsi or coke.

it wont hrt them, jsust dont feed it to them alot. a snack is fine. i giv my dog popcorn wen i eat it, even my cats like it (without the kernel),just make sure they dont choke. and most dogs will inhale it without chewing so they probably wouldnt choke anyways

popcorn in moderation is okay for a dog. just keep an eye on them to make sure that they don't choke. oh yeah...WARNING!! BEWARE OF THE POPCORN FARTS!! awful!
