Why does my ex-boyfriend who broke up with me 1.5 years ago when I moved away to college still call me? He has a new girl at home and tells me.."he is lonely" i don't think he wants to get back together because he has never mentioned it..he just always says he loves me...i am a corner in his life (i helped him get his career going)...and that he has strong emotions for me. we have talked every two weeks or so (he calls me) for the last two years and he comes to see me when i am in town. what are his intentions? i still love him and would love to get back together with him but never say it bc i get the vibe he wants me to have fun and enjoy college (i am seven years younger). GUYS: any advice on what my ex is thinking? why he keeps calling me? should i cut him off or not? will he ever call me again if i say i need time to be by myself and meet other people?i mentioned this to him and he got really sad and said he wouldnt call me anymore if i didn't want him too. any advice how he feels?

Darling...now is the time to think of yourself...not what's on his mind. Its time to move on. Focus on your goals and concentrate on the big picture you have in front of you. Its unfortunate, but you must not let yourself hang around in limbo with this burdening situation.
Tell him...let him know you need to make a clean break and maybe sometime in the future you can remain friends.
You care deeply for him, and he will always have your respect. What you need from him now though, is his cooperation and the same respect.

You have to figure out what you want and do that. We can not tell you how you should feel . You need to know if he wants you back and then you have to decide if you want him back. But asking here is just a cop out

Tell the guy to stop calling. He's leading you along and messing with your head. He gets some crazy kick out of these calls, tell him to lose your number.

Is just old memory - maybe some consideration whatever. Find somebody for yourself and tell him to not call you back. Going back disturb you and is making you blind to see the reality

you can love two people at one time , he loves you and her , He probably needs your emotion connection as he is not getting it from his new woman , You need to decide do you want to be the other woman or tell him to move on
