I'm not trying to be offensive, just trying to clarify a point raised in another question

It's not as easy a question as it might seem, as you have to decide who the natural father was, whether or not he was married to Mary, and what definition of illegitimacy is used. So no off-the-cuff yes or no answers please, explain your reasoning.

There is a presumption of paternity to the husband of a wife. Not sure where and when the presumption dates to. However it did exist in very early "Roman Law."

I don't understand why people keep asking this question. To Christians it shouldn't matter if Jesus were illegitimate or not. God sent him here for a purpose, and it wasn't to be used as entertainment for Yahoo! Answers. There always needs to be a point behind a question - if the answer is no then Jesus will still be my Savior. If the answer is yes then Jesus will still be my Savior. The only Christians swayed by this questions are ones without faith and thus have not come to terms with their Christianity anyway.

No off-the-cuff? Regarding a question about mythology? "Natural" father? And all this without trying to be offensive...
Hoo-wee!
No human being is really illegitimate. That's just a derogatory socio-religious term. If your question has to do with the founder of a religion being illegitimate according to the customs of the religion that he founded, then that's an interesting bit of irony, but it will never float in this particular ocean.

Well, one might wonder why Mary was lying about such a matter, in the first place. It would seem she was attempting to cover something up, yes? Hmmmm. Curious indeed.....

First God created Jesus/the Word;

Proverbs 8:24 *When there were no watery deeps,* I was brought forth, as with labor pains.'

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Philippians 2:7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slaves form, and came to be in the likeness of men.

Luke 1:35 In answer the angel said to her; "Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God's Son."

So, Jesus emptied himself, and then God took his life and put it in the womb of Mary.

John 1:1-4 In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God and the word was god,..All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. What has come into existence by means of him was *life,* and *the life*/Jesus was the light of men.

So, Jesus was God's only-begotten Son. Jesus had only a Father, similar to Adam and Eve, although they had God and Jesus as their creators. First God created the Universe alone. Then when there were no watery deeps on the earth, that is when Jesus was born in heaven.

After that God and Jesus, (the Word) Created all other LIFE, which would be a female angel to be Jesus wife, and then all the life on earth, and finally Adam and Eve.

Therefore, all the angels are descendants of Jesus/the Word, and his angel wife. Jesus is the King, and she is the Queen.

Ephesians 3:14,15 On account of this I bend my knees to the Father, to whom every family *in heaven* and on earth owes its name..

This does lead to the point that the enemy, the Devil, was a descendant of Jesus, the Word, just like Cain, and Nimrod, were descendants of of Adam.

This is quite a new revelation, and sad, and I am realizing that all the demons, are descendants of Jesus, his grandchildren mostly and he himself has judged them to Gehenna. However, all mankind are also his descendents, through creation, and he is judging them also.

Where in the Bible does it say that Jesus is an angel? Zechariah 1:11,12,3:1,2,6..

Jesus is called the *angel of Jehovah*..Zechariah 3:6 And the angel of Jehovah/Jesus, began to bear witness to Joshua saying....8b) Here I am bringing in my (Jesus) servant, Sprout! (Elijah)

9) For look! the stone what I have put before Joshua!

Zechariah 6:12 And you must say to him, "'This is what YHWH/Jehovah of armies has said; "Here is the man whose name is Sprout. And from his own place he will sprout, and he will certainly build the temple of Jehovah.

13) And he himself will build the temple of Jehovah, and he for his part, will carry the dignity, and he must sit down and rule on his throne, and he must become a priest upon his throne, and the very counsel of peace will prove to be between the both of them.

When the Bible says, let us create man in our image, male and female, that actually represents, God and the Word working together to create life. Two persons, bringing forth creation, and children, Adam and Eve.

Getting to the question, the first time Jesus was fathered in heaven, it was YHWH who brought him forth.

Now, we need to realize that God is in every marriage that exist. When we get engaged he is a witness to our vow. The Bible says, 'What God has joined together let no man put apart.'

The Bible also talks about a *threefold cord* that cannot quickly be broken, referring to God as the third person in our marriage.

So, to transfer the life of his Son Jesus, even in this angle of considering the matter, into Mary, could in no way be considered illegitimate. Not only was God's spirit in the union, engagement, of Joseph and Mary, God as Father of us all has every right to put his spirit on us, for whatever purpose he desires.

So now, Jesus, was said to be HOLY, God's Son.

Hosea 2:19 And I will engage you to me for time indefinite, and I will engage you to me in righteousness and in justice and in loving-kindness and in mercies. 20) And I will engage you to me in faithfulness, and you will certainly know YHWH/Jehovah.

She said some of this to Jehovah about Joshua.

no, since Joseph married Mary before he was born, that made him legally Joseph's son. The law still holds true today.

He was illegitimate because he had no biological father contracting marriage with his mother recorded according to Jewish Laws.

A foster father does not make himself a genetic father to an adopted son but only a guardian.
