This is a strange one and it has been in the works for quite sometime. There's supposed to be royal heritage on this one

Hey Brig,

Here are some people, sites, and useful information on Tappana family genealogy. As far as Royalty goes, you will probably need to ask one of the people that you can get from these web sites.

If you decend from Charles Edward Tappana, you will need to get information from Madrid Spain. See the 2nd site. Then work your way back from there. You should be able to find someone researching the same ancestry since Charles had numerous children in Missouri. I notice that GENFORUM has a lot of surnames that are in common with Charles, so you have people researching this branch. They would be excellent to talk to for you.

There are currently no DNA projects at Familytreedna.com going on this name right now. That would be useful for you to start, see the DNA Links.

Finding Royalty may take you some time to research! Depending on the number of generations back.
