I feel like my life is very monotanous, like it has no real point. I was injured about a year ago, and I haven't been able to walk without a cane since, and all of the things that I love to do (camping, swimming, walking, the gym) are out of the question. I had to drop college because of my immobility, and I can't drive a car because of it. I probably won't be able to work for the rest of the year, so I can't spend money on entertainment too often, I get worker's comp checks now and them because of this ... but I feel like I'm doing nothing with my life, and it's really depressing. Alot of my "friends" stopped talking to me because of my leg, and it's hard to make new ones when your stuck at home. What can I do? I live in MN, and the snow is comming, so now I can't go outside cuz it's cold, not even to read. Most days I play with my pets, but they can't hold a conversation or go to the movies.. I need a hobby? Just tell me what I can do for the boredom? I'm sick of booze .....

About doing other drugs, although I have thought about it for mood-booster, and for the pain in my leg, I can't because I could have to do a drug test at any time because this happened at work ... I've never smooked anything before anyways, I've only drank...

I understand...I do. I was in a head-on collision back in 1996 and it changed my life forever. As far as the recuperation time...you just need to hang in there. Keep your brain active, even if it is on the internet.

When I lived in Seattle, WA I learned to knit better and love snuggling down under an afghan I am crocheting. Try teaching yourself a new hobby or see if you can't volunteer at a hospital in the baby room or some thing like that...there is nothing more fulfilling than working with the elderly...and they appreciate it so much...some organizations will pick you up and take you home too. Take care! :-)

There's no reason you can't go to college. I go to college and I suffer from chronic fatigue, so I can't take a full load, but something is better than nothing. Also, there are students on my campus who are quadriplegic, and they're zipping around campus in their wheelchairs. Your campus should have a disability resource center that can help make accommodations for you while you're taking classes. You need to look ahead and start planning for your future, because you can still have a good life. You've been going through a mourning period over the things you can no longer do, and that's to be expected, but it sounds like you want to get your life back on track, a different track to be sure. As for the so-called friends who avoid you because of your disability, screw them, you can make new ones when you go back to school. It's important to get out of the victim mind set. Yes, a bad thing happened, but it's not the end of your life, unless you give into negative thinking. You've made a first step by reaching out on this website. One thing I would recommend, while you're preparing for the next step: go to your library and check out books on people who've overcome enormous obstacles in their lives. This kind of reading is really inspirational, and can start to light a fire within you to do the same. Good luck.

regularly, as quickly as we get caught in a psychological rut, we've not have been given any theory. we predict of we are regularly occurring, whether that is purely later that we verify what grew to become into incorrect with all of it. i detect that Marijuana can help lots. you purely look to view the international in a outstanding, new attitude. to no longer point out my strategies applications lots in a distinctive way, that is purely approximately like magic and that i finally end up snapping out of my psychological rut.

I have two disabilities myself that prevent me from working and all my friends have fallen by the wayside too. My PC is my favorite link, but it's still lonely. I'm married, but he has his own problems right now and it's true that you're limited with your pets. I feel so lost right now and depressed that no one wants to hear it. If you want to write to me just to say whatever you're feeling, you can, OK? And I promise to write back. Just click onto my avatar's "more info" and the address will be there. Hope to hear from you.

if you are really, really stuck at home, my niece is disabled, maybe try internet schooling. That way you could indulge in something you are interested in and prosper at the same time. Good luck, and I hope this suggestion helps a little bit.
