I listen to metal and was thinking about replacing my stock speakers with aftermarket ones with a 4 way amp, and putting 4 6x9" full range speakers with another 4 way amp behind the back seat instead of subs. Im not really looking for a lot of bass, I just want my music to be louder and more full. And what is a good brand of speaker and amp. Any advice would be helpful.

I have herd that the brand kicker was originaly and still is mainly designed for metal. or all music like it.
I personally have never herd someone blast some metal with kicker speakers. I've never even listened to kicker speakers before.
But yeah...supposably kicker was made for rockers.
so i would look into some kicker wether its subs or 6x9's and amps.

kicker sucks BIG TIME for any rap and stuff like that.

For a metal head, Alpine 6x9's are positively the way to go, box 'em or put them in a panel, they give you everything you need. A subwoofer setup just screws up the screaming guitar effect!

don't install subs for metal music. metal music doesn't have the right bass for them. use 6 by 9 speakers that are after market. make sure that they are 4 way speakers. that way you hit all the levels in the songs. most of the time you can get away with poineer, sony, jbl.

For metal, 6X9 are the direction you are looking for. I can tell you from expirence, that subwoofers do metal no justice, and when I changed over to 6X9's I was really happy.

If you don't need bass (metal) then don't waste money on subs, alpine speakers are one of the clearest you'll get the best sound from them

200Hz is going to be too severe of a frequency to be your crossover ingredient. i might advise around 80Hz. maximum audio device will play easily good right down to around that type. maximum subs ought to no longer play as much as 200Hz comfortably. So set it to around 80Hz and you in all probability may well be stable. The ingredient of an amp is to means the sub. the warmth temperature unit is the placement you handle the output of the device. some amps have bass knobs yet you nevertheless use the pinnacle unit to alter the sub. Many head fashions have particular controls to alter your sub in spite of the fact that so as that makes it much less perplexing. you will ought to easily set the controls on your head unit to the place it sounds magnificent. you ought to no longer ought to swap it lots if youin case you placed it good. stable stable fortune!!!
