Okay, I've heard so many different things on the energy level of a Boston Terrier. I've been told they're great for apartment living because of their low-energy, and then I've heard that they demand lots of attention because of their high energy. So which is it?

A Boston Terrier isn't exactly a terrier per say, (as someone above stated "any terrier is high strung"), I have two, and I would say that they have medium energy, in other words they have their days... sometimes lazy, sometimes darting around the yard at light speed, besides that, every dog demands and needs attention. They are low maintenance, as far as grooming needs, get along well with every family member, especially children and other pets, they are very affectionate and they love to be loved. They were bred for no other reason but companion animals.

maximum Terriers are extreme potential. of direction, in each and every breed there are "oddballs" and breeds interior communities *can* selection from one yet another, yet i'd think of that a Boston would be a greater-potential dogs. workout does help, and training to an quantity. yet you're able to desire to attend perchance a twelve months or 2, or evaluate a distinctive breed.

The ones I've seen are hyper little things that need lots of training and "handling" or they take over.
They are best for families with children to burn off all that energy.
Apartment dwellers should go do doggie day care or have a service come for walkies while you are at work. Believe it or not, pet sitting companies offer that service. I used to do it, kinda weird walking into a stranger's house and walk their dog. Good money though.

Any Terrier is a high strung dog with a lot of energy. BT's are great dogs but were originally ratters/hunters I believe...so they are energetic and curious. They are great dogs my sister has one.

Their size is perfect, they are however VERY active. They need to run and play at LEAST 30 minutes a day more is preferred. Whomever told you they were low energy is retarded. I've been around them all my life. They are extremely intelligent but require ALLOT of attention........

They are definately high energy! They jump and bite and bark and whine and are just geniunely annoying. My friend has one and it tortures me and my min schnauzer. I don't go to my friends house anymore because of him. He has already been through obedience training but it did not help at all. He is also 4 months old and not potty trained.

The ones I've met are very high-energy. I used to work with a lady who had one and he tormented my basset hounds something fierce.
