I know everyone has heard about the environmental situation we are in before. It really is a dead horse at this point. To the point where people just don't seem to want to talk about it anymore. I very often witness people just shutting down, quickly changing the subject whenever the issue of human caused environmental disaster is even mentioned. Yeah, it's super depressing. We were ignorant for so long, completely unaware of how much our own progress would stress the Earth, and here we are now just scratching the surface of discovering how much damage we have caused.

Recently I overheard my 10 year old niece, talking about global warming, and how much it makes her angry. THAT hit me.
Gave me the creeps. It's like the worst low budget B movie that ends all wrong. In the end, the main characters didn't save the day, and there were no survivors, no one escaped.

I hope it doesn't come to that. That's all I can do though, is hope. So many people want to make a change, but feel helpless.

Yes, I feel partly responsible and I've made changes in my personal habits. And yes, I find global warming frightening. And yes, I'm freaked out by those who attempt to keep their heads in the sand.

Global warming is sadly bound to happen whether people like it or not, and even if there weren't people on earth it would happen. But it is happening much faster than expected and if no one takes action and does something, the beautiful earth and everything on it goes to waste because what- we were too lazy to walk down the street? Too lazy to recycle? Did not want to use the nifty recycled paper so we cut down all the trees? Not smart at all. Here are things I said we can do to help on a nother question :

A well tuned car with properly inflated tires uses and burns less gas. Or even better, just skip the drive and walk, bike...

If people think they cannot make a difference or do anything well you have no excuse because you can start writing your leaders now. They do respond, and no, one letter will not change everything, but when you get many people that feel so strongly on the topic, it is hard to say no. Two words: Renewable energy. Many ways to do that. Using florescent light bulbs help. Be a smart water consumer. Re-use and recycle. Easy to do, and is becoming more popular.

The best thing I say you could do is plant a tree.

Problem is most "real scientists" don't agree on what is causing global warming. If you feel that we are that powerful compared to the earth than you really need to look deeper into the issue and not focus all of your research reading articles by fringe scientists on the subject.

Global warming may or may not be happening but the biggest thing that has happened is that we monitor way more than we used to and we really don't have a sampling of information that is worthy of calling this a true problem.

What exactly do you believe that we can do that will really help. What percentage of the problem is related to humans and what percentage is based upon the earths own emissions. Is global warming bad I am not so sure it is longer growing season?

While this stuff is worthy of research there is no way you should be sitting around being depressed about it especially if we are not even sure that it is a bad thing?

This is a bigger issue then most people realize and I know for a fact why that is. So I have been using my knowledge and intellect to devise thousands of inventions and ideas to help the planet and save our future. In fact I already have a few inventions that will solve all the problems at hand. Feeling helpless is understandable when you live in a world of millions of ignorant and rejecting public that just refuse to put it in their minds. I myself even feel depression and doubts because I am a poor man and can hardly do much of this myself. Yet I also have the answers to save this universe, do you know how hard it is knowing that you have the answers but you cant do anything about it because others refuse to help. If only we could start a research group that focused completely on this and found ways to get government grants to fund the program then I would help as much as I possibly can.

I feel that Humans do contribute to global warming. Of course there have been evidences that global warming is part of a natural cycle but this time round there are many examples of humans contributing to global warming. So why should we heat up the Earth that already gets heated up by nature? We should stop unnessary combustion and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide we give out due to our cars. We should also strongly discourage logging.

Global warming is not going to hurt this planet in the least bit..
It has been a LOT warmer and a LOT colder in the past and the planet has not been harmed in the least...
What does the planet care if it is a few degrees warmer or colder ?
Man needs to get over himself...
The planet does not care what man does..
The only thing that man MAY be hurting is himself..
And I don't care....
I don't dirty my own nest and I can't control the rest of the worlds fools so I just don't worry about it...

The third world countries need to start to be so more aware of our planet and teach them about recycling, reducing, and reuseing, and not putting toxic wastes in the oceans and bodies of water.

We need to be more aware all over the world and make it a law to RRR. And not pollute our beautiful planet.

More than you know. Mother Earth is not just my mother, she is the basis of my religion. Yes, you could say I feel responsible, as her Priestess. Note the Goddess of Liberty avatar, my dear.

Yes, I feel responsible.
