Although Sirius is catching up quickly, XM still has more subcribers. Just last year it had less than 15% of the market share.

I still think XM is the market leader. Sirius has made some ground in the past year since Howard Stern joined, but I still think they have work to do to catch XM.

XM has made some unpopular choices over the past year: Allowing ClearChannel programming, elimination of the XM Music Lab Progressive Rock Station, allowing O&A to go to free radio - after many bought XM just for them. As a result of these things, 2006 has been a tough year for XM after riding high for a while, so Sirius is bound to benefit from this.

XM was boss for a long time, until Howard Stern joined Sirius--now they're neck in neck in new membership rates, however XM still has 5 million more subscribers than Sirius overall.

Sirius is serious of course. look at fiances here(http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=XMSR and http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SIRI) and compare trade volume, market capital and EPS. Support/service is 24/7 and Sirius has more partners than XM. for details; http://www.radiosatellite.org/

xm has more than 2 million more subscribers than sirius. sirius also fudges their numbers by counting unsold, unactivated units that are in new car lots as subscribers. lame.
