No hon, unless given an overdose, Haldol has no lasting effects. I think you might be confusing it with Thorazine which CAN cause brain damage if taken in too high a dosage for more than a few weeks.

I don't believe so. I have never read any literature that points to haldol and brain damage. Particularly if you've only had three doses. I wouldn't worry about it. I wonder why you were given it in three large doses. Have you had psychosis?

i had 2 high "rescue" doses, then 5 weeks of regular (several times daily) administration of haldol...my CT scans all look fine and ive had no long lasting effects from it. youll probably be just fine

mindfreedom/loc/scan.shtml. that haldol can cause permanent neurochemical changes in your brain, but i don't think three doses should harm you.

yes it has the highest chance out of all anti psychotics of causing tardive dyskensia and that is from damage to the cognitive part of the brain i believe

I can personally attest to the fact haldo does cause cognitive problems that appear to be permanent, I still cant think like I used to ,
